Spirit Lamp and a Black Aminal

Post  Raleigh on October 4th 2008, 8:13 pm

Your Name: Patricia
Subject: unexplained activity
Message: In my home I have 2 lamps that go on and off by themselves, day and night, sometimes a LOT,other times not for a full 24 hrs. My dad\\\'s ashes are here and my son who passed almost 5 yrs. ago is always on my mind, but this a.m.I finally got tired of getting out of bed to turn the lamps off, said firmly,\\\"Ok you guys, this is out of hand and I\\\'m tired of it,so stop.\\\" The lamps have yet to come on again. If it\\\'s my son I don\\\'t want him to leave, just to stop doing the light thing at night! I also constantly have to step over a curled up asleep black animal who is always at my left foot if I stay in a room long enough for it to be there. Have 3 cats and assume it\\\'s a cat due to the size and way it\\\'s sleeping. Have not lost a pet here and it just starting doing this recently. It doesn\\\'t scare me or trip me but I see it in time to step over it b4 it\\\'s gone!! Help?

spirit lamp and black animal

Post  MrbdMem379 on October 4th 2008, 11:11 pm

My first question is how is the wiring with the lamp? She mentioned that she has cats. I have cats as well and one of them chews on wires, this could cause a short in certain electrical items causing them to have intermitten power. Also, does the bulb fit loosely in the lamp? Getting the outlet checked out might help as well, it's possible that the wires going to the outlet could be messed up as well. As far as the black animal goes, I don't really know about that. I guess it would depend on if she sees it directly or if she sees it in her peripheral vision. This can cause shadows to appear, depending upon the quality and angle of light in the area. I know that I am constantly stepping over things or trying to dodge things that are not really there based on this one. If she sees it directly then I wouldn't dismiss it easily. Does she have any pics of this animal? That would be good to see. It seems like she isn't bothered too much by these things either. It might would be useful for her to sit down where the lamp comes on and off and just explain that she doesn't mind sharing her space as long as they don't do things to bother her. Just sitting down and having this talk could go a long way in this situation.

I emailed her and asked her to take a disposable camera and take pics. We will see if she follows through and takes the pics. Rolling Eyes
